  1. Mark Bohlin says:

This is what I sent to both of the Senators in Florida.
I choose to not take opiate pain medications and was releaved when voters passed medical marijuana with 71% of the vote in Florida. I was hopeful that I would have a safe alternative to opiates by being able to be prescribed medical marijuana as an alternative. How can legislators decide what is best for the voter and completely re-interpret the language and sprit of this medical marijuana legislation, for Florida patients. I promise you this voter is paying close attention to who I vote for in the future. It’s time to take politics out of medical marijuana, and not restrict what is available to low or no THC marijuana, because it’s like prescribing nothing at all.

It’s unbelievable to me that I can make an appointment to be prescribed opiates because of my medical condition, but am unable to get medical marijuana instead. I visited the state of Oregon was able to try it and could not believe the positive effect it made on my overall pain level.

I know I am only one voter but I am requesting that your office respond back and tell me if I should go out and get a pain medication prescription or if I can be allowed to use a much safer alternative – medical marijuana with high or normal levels of THC. Is it really going to become necessary to vote that our legislators pass the laws that we vote in?

    Thank You In Advance,
    Mark W. Bohlin
